  23. together with the OS. The shell is also aware of AREXX and passes
  24. AREXX scripts automatically to the interpreter.

  34. A program that supports scripting has a dedicated message
  35. port to send textual commands to. When you run the script from
  36. the program the program itself becomes an extension of the
  37. AREXX interpreter. The program can return textual results to the
  38. script, it can also modify script variables.

  40. If you run a script outside a program (or use it to control another
  41. program) it has to address (other) programs explicitely.
